The practical guide
The tool provides clearly labeled size references for common U.S., UK printed, 35×45 mm, and Canada printed workflows. Official rules can also govern head size, pose, expression, lighting, recency, background, editing, and file delivery.
A country may use different rules for printed photos, digital uploads, passports, visas, renewals, and overseas applications. Select a size only after checking the current authority page linked beside the preset.
The preview uses the selected output aspect ratio. Zoom and horizontal or vertical controls change the same crop used for the downloaded pixel dimensions.
Inches and millimetres are converted to pixels using the selected DPI. For example, a 2 × 2 inch photo at 300 DPI produces a 600 × 600 pixel file.
JPG file size depends on image detail and compression. Exact dimensions take priority, and the result reports when a requested KB ceiling cannot be reached without excessive quality loss.
The 4 × 6 inch and A4 options tile as many exact-size copies as fit at the chosen DPI, add cut guides, and report the final copy count and sheet dimensions.
The optional segmentation model loads only when requested and runs locally. Inspect hair and clothing edges, and do not use digital background alteration when the relevant authority prohibits edited photos.
